The Institute for Defense & Business (IDB) is a non-profit in Chapel Hill that connects military and defense professionals with the private sector and academia to collaborate on shared challenges and goals. IDB provides on-site and virtual learning opportunities for officers and civilians across the country.
“We bring private industry together with the military in an educational environment to share information and help them become better leaders, and make better strategic decisions,” says retired Lt. Gen. Mark Faulkner. “We’re a bridge, frankly, between the Department of Defense and private industry.”
