Wayne County Public Schools and Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base have partnered to open a first-of-its-kind school on Seymour-Johnson AFB.
The Wayne School of Technical Arts is opening on Seymour-Johnson AFB this fall. During the first year, the school will open with the 6th, 9th, and 10th grades. Each year, a grade will be added until fully populated with 420 students. The Wayne School of Technical Arts is set to have 50% of its population coming from military families.
