One of NCMAC's goals is to make North Carolina the #1 most military-friendly state in the Nation. We're pleased to share that Wayne County Public Schools and Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base are helping to meet that goal!
The Wayne School of Technical Arts is opening on Seymour-Johnson AFB this fall. During the first year, the school will open with the 6th, 9th, and 10th grades. Each year, a grade will be added until fully populated with 420 students.
The most exciting part of this new school is that 50% of the student population will have military connections. Students will have access to resources on Seymour-Johnson AFB and through Wayne Community College to complete courses.
