The military has been present in North Carolina and bringing positive economic impacts for decades.
In August this year, Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City celebrated 82 years in North Carolina. Starting with a small team, the air station grew and now is the largest employer in northeast North Carolina, with a workforce of 2,000 military members and civilians.
