Key stakeholders and leaders from across North Carolina attended the first North Carolina Defense Summit (NCDS) in September 2022. The Association of Defense Communities and the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission hosted the summit.
Attendees learned more about the military's impact on the state and came away with best practices to implement. The NC4ME-sponsored hiring event provided military members and veterans with career connections. Highlighted topics included: Defense Industry and Military Contracting; Installation and Community Advocacy; Military Legislative Initiatives; and more. The information shared will guide decision-making on many levels.
With this knowledge, NC can become the best state for the military, veterans, and defense industry.
