National Guard Responds to Hurricane Ian

U.S. Coast Guard personnel have been activated in Florida to respond to Hurricane Ian. On Thursday, it was reported that the Coast Guard had saved dozens of Floridians from unsafe, flooded areas. The Coast Guard and U.S. Army Reserve continue to conduct search and rescue operations.

North Carolinians experienced the same efforts from our U.S. Coast Guard in 2018 when Hurricane Florence hit our coast. The Coast Guard has bases located in North Carolina that are prepared in case disaster strikes the mid-Atlantic region.
