Since 1996, November acknowledges the sacrifices that veterans and military families make. Military veterans and their families embody resilience and strength.
Throughout a military member's career, families make sacrifices to support their service member. Spouses often change jobs or career fields. They take on the role of both parents during training periods and deployments. Children change schools and make new friends with each military-related move. Families survive and thrive while a key member of their family is deployed for extended periods of time.
