April is designated as the Month of the Military Child. Schools and installations take time during the month to celebrate and recognize the strength and resilience of the youngest military family members.
This year, the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission selected today, Wednesday, April 19 as Purple Up! day and invites everyone to wear purple to show support for military children.
