U.S. Army Reserve Celebrates 115 Years

Founded in 1908, the U.S. Army Reserve was originally activated as the Medical Reserve. More than 100 million Army Reserve Soldiers have been mobilized since, supporting efforts through the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terror. Roughly 10,000 Army Reserve Soldiers are based in North Carolina.​
