U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Celebrates 84 Years

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer reserve component of the U.S. Coast Guard. It was created on this date in 1939 and has played a crucial role in assisting Coast Guard operations across the coastal regions, inland lakes, and rivers of our nation.
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary serves as a valuable extension of the U.S. Coast Guard. We extend our gratitude to the numerous Auxiliary members, including clergy, watercraft operators, pilots, medical personnel, musicians, cyber security professionals, and many other volunteers, for their continuous support to the U.S. Coast Guard and its missions.
