The Korean War Veterans Armistice Day honors the veterans who served in the Korean War from 1950-1953. On July 27, 1953, representatives from the United States, the People's Republic of China, and North Korea signed an armistice treaty that facilitated the exchange of prisoners of war and gave hope for a peaceful settlement.
Today we remember the men and women who served through the Korean War, including those who lost their lives or were taken as prisoners of war.
