On March 13th, we honor the incredible service and sacrifices of our military and working dogs throughout history.
In 1942, the Army initiated the War Dog Program, known as the "K-9 Corps," making dogs an official part of the U.S. Armed Forces. From then on, these four-legged heroes have been an integral part of our military history. Today's military dogs are cherished members of their units, with retirement ceremonies, awards, medals, and memorial services to honor their bravery and dedication.
