Air National Guardsmen Participate in Fire Training

U.S. Air Force 145th Civil Engineering Squadron firefighters douse a fire with water for a simulated aircraft cockpit incident during a readiness exercise held at a rural training site. The readiness exercise demonstrates agile combat employment with multi-capable Airmen.

Using live fires provides extremely realistic conditions that mirror actual emergencies. This prepares military firefighters and personnel to respond effectively when real fires break out, whether it's an aircraft crash site or a structural blaze. By creating realistic, high-stakes training environments, the military can maintain a constant state of fire safety readiness across all operations and installations.
