Womack Army Medical Center Earns Top Leapfrog Safety Grade

Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) at Fort Liberty was named one of only nine military hospitals to receive the highest "A" grade in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety program for Spring 2024. This prestigious award demonstrates WAMC's commitment to providing the safest, highest-quality care to our military members, veterans, and their families.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is a rigorous, peer-reviewed national standard that evaluates a hospital's performance in preventing medical errors, infections, and other potential harms. WAMC's "A" grade reflects their excellent track record and robust systems in place to keep patients safe.

As the first federal health system to participate in the Leapfrog program, the Defense Health Agency is leading the way in transparency and quality improvement across military hospitals. We commend the entire WAMC team for their dedication to patient safety and for setting the bar high for exceptional care.
