On June 14th, we celebrate the 249th birthday of the United States Army -the oldest and most formidable branch of our nation's military. Established in 1775 during the American Revolutionary War, the Army's humble beginnings as a colonial militia paved the way for its growth into a premier fighting force. From defending freedom on the battlefields to aiding communities in times of crisis, the Army has upheld its core values of loyalty, duty, and selfless service for nearly two and a half centuries.
Let us honor the brave men and women, past and present, who have worn the Army uniform with pride and dedication to protect our nation's liberty. Happy 249th Birthday, U.S. Army!
