Honoring the Legacy of the GI Bill

On June 22, 1944, the GI Bill was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The GI Bill provided unprecedented benefits to World War II veterans, including low-cost mortgages, low-interest loans, tuition assistance, and unemployment benefits. From this, millions of WWII veterans obtained college degrees and vocational training, transforming the nation by building a highly-educated workforce and developing the middle class.

The GI Bill continues to open doors of opportunities for veterans.
