Navy Breaks Ground On Aircraft Maintenance Facility In Kinston, NC

A new U.S. Navy Fleet Readiness Center East C-130 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul complex at the North Carolina Global TransPark in Kinston recently broke ground. 

This 700,000-square-foot facility will create over 400 jobs and generate $400 million in investment for the region. Construction is set to begin later this year and be completed by September 2026. The complex will support the maintenance and repair of Navy and Marine Corps aircraft, including C/KC-130J Super Hercules, C/KC-130T Hercules, and HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopters.
