Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point established two new internship programs for students and separating military members. The newly expanded Pathways Internship Program offers a fast track to employment for local community college students pursuing a journey-level mechanic career. FRCE also signed on as a Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program participant, which provides opportunities for service members to try out civilian jobs before separating from the military.​
Formed in 1941, the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve supports the mission of the U.S. Coast Guard. Of the Coast Guard members serving in World War II, 92% of the personnel were Reservists.

The Coast Guard Reserve continues to serve in domestic and international capacities.
Today’s military is a high-tech force with next-generation competencies in a range of specialties from cybersecurity to robotics. On average, our state will transition roughly 20,500 service members annually into the civilian workforce for the next three years, with many ready to enter STEM fields.​

The North Carolina Military Business Center and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center will host the Medical, Biomedical & Biodefense: Support to the Warfighter Symposium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on June 13-14, 2023.​
Colorado-based company Boom Supersonic recently began work on its newest facility in Greensboro. Boom Supersonic representatives stated that a draw to Greensboro included the large military veteran population in the area.​

The factory will house the Overture supersonic airliner assembly line and testing facility and is expected to employ 2,400 workers by 2032.​

Ellis Claggett, 345th Bomb Squadron B-1B Lancer weapon systems officer, talk to students from Dillard Middle School of Goldsboro, NC during Strive 4th - a Project Tuskegee and aviation inspiration mentorship initiative at Seymour Johnson AFB. ​

Strive 4th is a partnership between the 4th Fighter Wing and Air Force Global Strike Command to introduce Wayne County students and North Carolina Air Force Reserve Training Corps detachments to aviation and science, technology, engineering, and math.
The North Carolina Military Business Center helps NC businesses through the process of applying for federal contracts. Assisted businesses have won over 4,770 contracts valued at $17.25 billion​
