The Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Environmental Management Division (EMD) was recognized by the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of Defense for their work managing the natural resources of the area and U.S. Marine Corps training. The EMD received awards from both offices in the category of “Environmental Restoration, Installation” for 2022.​

Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) and Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps Cadets from across North Carolina attended the annual NC ROTC Roundtable in February. ​

Nearly 200 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and high schools across the state heard from military leaders and veterans. The event highlighted contributions from NC African American service members that impacted the military throughout history.​
The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is hosting a workshop on April 12 highlighting ways small businesses can work with the Department of the Navy (DON). Attendees will learn about the DON procurement process, resources available for small businesses, various departments and offices within the U.S. Navy, and more.​
